This Titan Series cover is designed for large 16-inch Dobsonian telescopes, providing full coverage for both the optical tube and the base. Built for long-term outdoor storage, it protects your telescope from rain, snow, UV exposure, and dust, and helps smooth out sudden temperature fluctuations that can lead to condensation.
The shape is optimized for Dobsonian designs, ensuring a secure fit for both classic manual Dobsonians and Go-To models with integrated electronics, including larger and heavier setups.
Heavy-Duty Protection for Large Telescopes
Titan covers are built to handle the demands of large-aperture telescopes stored outdoors. Each cover is made from two high-quality fabrics — an outer waterproof fabric and an inner thermal barrier fabric — forming a reliable system for year-round protection.

The outer fabric is PVC-coated nylon with 100% waterproof performance (tested above 7000 mmH₂O, AATCC-127). It is highly durable, UV-resistant, and designed to withstand long-term exposure.

The inner fabric features a multi-layer structure with a strong, long-lasting cotton base for insulation and a silvered surface that acts as a heat barrier — helping reduce temperature swings and limit dew formation. Its waterproof face provides additional moisture protection.
All seams are sealed, and waxed, water-repellent threads prevent moisture penetration. Reinforced handles and an adjustable drawcord ensure a secure, stable fit even in wind.
For many large setups, a Titan cover can serve as a practical and cost-effective alternative to building a permanent observatory, while still providing dependable outdoor protection.
Condensation & Optional Add-Ons
Under certain environmental conditions, condensation may form inside any outdoor cover, including Titan. To help manage internal humidity and protect sensitive optics, optional add-ons are available:

Removable desiccant pocket with reusable silica gel — helps maintain lower humidity inside the cover and includes a color indicator for reuse.

Ventilation fan — improves airflow and reduces moisture buildup. Can be powered via 12 V or the included USB adapter, allowing use with portable power banks in the field.
⚠️ The fan option must be selected at the time of purchase and cannot be added later due to integrated installation.
